Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.

However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.

On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.

In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

I expressed my disappointment about losing 2 Gem cars (raminatra) within 10 mins of each other from their constant "Game had been updated" restart error to his yesterday. I asked about compensation or returning what was lost in an unfair way because of their bugs that we have been enduring for going on 2 months and was frankly told "we have none". This is quite a disappointing turn of events and would greatly influence myself and I'm sure a lot of other players from continuing to play this game. Their lack of care or concern is appalling. When the next update comes out there will BE MORE BUGS AGAIN. We will once more hear the "we're working on it" and there will be more losses and still NO COMPENSATION. This game is losing popularity fast, and the quicker they see it for what it is and do what needs to be done to keep THE PLAYERS HAPPY, there may be a chance to salvage whats left. But we can only hope.

    Hi PR, it's not Rysst's fault and I don't think there's anything he can do. That would make me want to quit. I'm really really sorry this happened. Actually I would like someone at CIE studios to please make this our top concern.

    Because the cars we have on here are extremely valuable. More important than having trouble with the controls or anything is the fact that people are apparently losing cars for no reason.

    Lets be clear here...

    Your message to me was along the lines of, "I lost cars due to restarts!"

    My reply was "Yeah, we are aware of the issue"

    Your reply to that was something like, "That isn't cutting it! I want an answer to all my losses"

    My reply was exactly, "We have none. We're working on it. Thats as far as we are. Discussions about compensation happen afterwards."

    So when I said, "We have none" that was a reply to your demand of, "I want answers to my losses." We don't have an answer. Our priority is fixing stuff and getting this update out. As I've said a few times here on the forums... Compensation will be discussed after the update. So no, I don't know if we wil, I don't know what it would be, I don't know the scope of any of that because we haven't discussed it yet and won't until later.
