So as you may or may not know. In order for Racing Rivals to use real cars in our game, we need to have the license from the actual car manufacturers. There is a lot of legal stuff in those deals and sometimes the manufacturer has restrictions. One of these restrictions could be that we never give the car away, or it can’t have certain kits.
The GT-R NISMO GT3 has a restriction imposed by Nissan that says it cannot have any exterior modifications. This would include the ability to paint it. This was an oversight on our end as you were able to paint it. Over the weekend we wrapped the car so that it would always appear white. This wrap went over any existing paint job. Today we also went ahead and locked the ability to paint the car. Now that we have “fixed” that side of the issue, we will begin the process of reimbursing players that have purchased paint for it.
This will take a bit while we compile the data and create the script to reimburse players. We hope to have it completed within the week barring any issues, or next week at the latest. We apologize to those who are affected by this.
We sent out refunds to players that purchased paint for the GT-R NISMO GT3. So if you at any point, purchased paint for the car, you were refunded what you paid. If you purchased multiple paint jobs, you were refunded for each.
We do not recognize player to player sales or trades, so any losses from player sales will not be refunded.
