Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.

However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.

On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.

In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

"Zaga zaga" and "camshaft tuning" running a scam together, picking on noobs, jer

I was in a d class room with a civic racing for fun and watching for sharks. In comes "zaga zaga" with the "I'm quiting and giving away cars" he gives a viper to "camshaft tuning" and then comes back with a mustang that he gives to "camshaft tuning". So I friend both and see they each have 50+ cars. Went back to my garage and grabbed a scion I didn't care about, and re-joined the room. This time zaga zaga is giving away a frs r spec. So I challenge him, he raised to pinks, and runs all out for a win... Imagine that! Told the room about the scam and they both went offline. The room thanked me, but if you see these jerks scamming anyone else then teach them a lesson. It ruins the game for new players!

Yeah that's very shady when people do it... I was in a lobby with my bone stock mustang gt ad here comes a guy with a pagani saying he is quitting and wants to get rid of all his cars... I called him out and said that's the oldest scam in the book and not even 5secs later he was gone

That's why it pays off to have a 'fully maxed sleeper' after you build the same car to your customized preference. I was in a 1662 room with my McLaren that does very well and I got beat and sandbagged by another fully maxed McLaren. One of my friends raced him and lost his car despite the warning. Seen him losing a few McLarens to another account, most likely car transferring. Lmo thing makes me happier than taking one of these lowlife's cars..

Rule of thumb for newbies. Don't pink outside of your car class and rating til you get a feel for the game. Also if something sounds to good to be true......it probably is. I learned the hard way as well. I just call out the scammers anytime I see one so hopefully less people will get taken advantage of.

I'm semi new to the forums, but not to the game. I basically sacrificed the scion to call them out and protect the noobs... Should have grabbed a maxed car and schooled him lol

Yeah I think if more people visited the forum it would help with some of this also. I've learned a lot from the forum.

I took a risk the other day when someone said they were resetting their account. They offered a WRX and I used my DART (didn't really care if I lost it). They fouled immediately and they gifted me the car. Bottom line, there are peoe out there you can trust. Just a shame there are far too many scammers out there ruining it for the honest people. But as OP said, just take a shitter in and be prepared to lose it, but it is worth exposing these pricks for a 20k stock car like a civic

Besides, is it really worth all of that effort to team up and lead people into a false sense of honesty and walk away with a crappy D Class car for the sake of damaging your reputation? I think not

a scammer double team? just like paul walkers back and evilrobotgorilla from the team your going down except they both pretend they have VIP ban abilitys and call you a scammer who scammed paul's brother and if you dont give them a car they will ban you forever and take all your cars. LOL they think we are stupid but it might work on noobs.
