Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.

However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.

On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.

In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

The "No Videos" Situation

I've literally spent over an hour clicking away just to repair my engine. Who wants to wait 9 hours for 2-3 minutes of watching videos? I sure don't. I don't know if it's due to so many people trying to do this at the same time but within an hour I've probably watched 2.. And I have 7 hours left to wait. I've probably spent more time trying to repair my engine than I actually have been racing. I don't know if anybody else is having the same problem, but it's quite annoying.
Lutzburg;n59749]Here's how video ads work: We have a handful of different providers who serve videos to our players. Each provider has a hard cap on how many videos they will pay us for every week. Once that quota is met, they stop sending us ads because they won't pay for any more than they've already served. Once that quota refreshes, they start serving ads again. This happens globally, which means that no single user will ever "run out" of their personal ads. Ideally we would give everyone unlimited videos to watch, but there are only so many providers out there and they only give us so many videos a week. We are working on deals with additional providers (though there aren't many good ones left that we aren't already using) so that we have more videos to provide. Until then, though, when one user is out of videos, most of the world is, too.* *I believe this is affected by region, as well, so that statement won't always be true.
Thank you for the explanation. I figured it has something to do with a certain amount of videos per person. This explains why when I am able to watch videos, I get the same 4 roughly every hour. But another thing that I saw earlier was that, I watched a video, and as soon as the video was about to end the message popped up telling me that there are no videos available at the moment. I was so bummed out. But I do understand much clearer now. Thank you for elaborating.

If you keep your history and cookies cleared out you can view more videos. Still intermittent but it does work

That would defeat the purpose. You watch videos instead of paying us to speed up the time because the ad providers pay us for you watching their ad.

As Lutz explained, the amount of videos there are is limited by our providers. If they don't want to provide and pay us to show more videos they don't have to. We can't make them.

Can you remove cookies on iPad? If so, how?

I thought cookies were browser based and not app based? How would cookies "play" in a game app?

They'd prefer if you bought GEMs. Pay-to-play.
