Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.

However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.

On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.

In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

How about engine swaps to maximize the cars and get more power out of them and get more options

It's been discussed before problem is they wouldn't know how to class the car apbut it may still happen in the future

I like that idea of engine swaps. Like doing a k-swap in a civic, VQ swap in 240sx ((has been done in real life!) LSX in a old camaro, that will be awesome!

if they're using the excuse "We don't know how to class the car" when its common sense....

Lets say we have the Honda Civic Si. Stock B18 that comes with it... Lets say we add the engine swap for a K20A2 (like we had in nitto). Now have the car maxed on a dev server, see what it runs. If it runs lets say ... B18 Si runs 10.1s at best... K20A2 makes it run 9.1s at best... Class it 1 class higher and give it a HIGHER RATING. On top of that, when your viewing someones car to send a race in a room, put the detail; "Engine Type: K20" or just put the class of the car like "Class: C"

Rank the engine by a class rank instead of the full car. If you rank it by class, and put a label that the car is a higher class, then people can't complain that they got screwed out of a car "because it had the swapped engine and they didn't know"

    not hard

    @CRXBOI
Was an example, although thanks for the knowledge. Never hurts to learn something new!

    Update:
Figured i'd get back into these videos, and i used this to explain this idea further. I used to do videos like this all the time so...
A deeper explanation on my site

or just the video i made

Well the engine swap concept is to have engines from the same company like honda only could swap B18 , K20. Honda can only swap honda engines , mitsubishi only mitsubishi engines , etc....

And make it realistic not making GT engines swaps that would be too exaggerated more like a one up or two

I think the best idea would be swapping engines within ur class that would be great cuz all of a sudden all those Stella drivers will be scared of the frs spec n gt3

great idea but you are approaching it the wrong way, engine swaps will be fun,but class cars differently like in putting a 2L ABF 8v VW motor into a GOLF MK1 body(sorry most common conversion i know because im GDM),rather start it in a class D and move into class higher

depends on the gains that were made, for example if the gains are 25% of the stock power then move it one class higher and if its 50% then two classes up,just a suggestion. In the case of the GOLF MK1 conversion power ranges from 90 or so horsepower stock standard and with the 2litre ABF 8V conversion it kicks out 140hp from my experience.64.2% power gain,so for example if the car were to start in class D then it would move to class B.thanks
