Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.
However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.
On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.
In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

It's not you that everyone is pissed at bro. But after this last turf, the problems keep mounting. Being booted out of a turf midway through and then just saying okay, we found the problem, you can play now 3 days later is...well...lame man. Remember, this is not directed at you, you are only saying what you are allowed to say, I think every reasonable person gets that. But if as you say there will be some kind of compensation for all this buggy play and lame customer service to this point, does the compensation planned keep getting bigger commensurate with the mounting problems everyone is having to endure?
What is fair to everyone who could not finish a turf that most of us paid real money to run and compete in? Speaking for myself, I just want to be treated fairly. I think everyone else does too. How do you compensate for lost time and team rankings along with the loss of awards that are given in turfs? Some racers I know had to leave thier teams and let others take thier place so the team could stay competitive. Everyone is mad about that, not at you!
It would be nice to see some kind of goodwill compensation on GLU/CIE's part ahead of this overall compensation after things are "fixed" that you talk about. It might be all it takes to give us players incentive to wait it out and see what you guys do for us in the end.
