Here are my thoughts about Racing Rivals and some changes that I think would make this game great.
First off, I really enjoy the game and it reminds me a lot of the first Nitto Racing which I used to play so much of back in the day.
A couple of things have been on my mind about the game and I think these would make the games far more enjoyable than it already is.
First is: ENGINE DAMAGE.
Engine damage should be removed from the game to make it more enjoyable. If you're going to add engine damage, add suspension, tire, rim, chassis, handling, oil, gas, and transmission damage as well. Upgrading cars is supposed to be fun but I avoid upgrading cars because I find it really unnecessary to continuously repair my car. I honestly just tune a car to it's fullest capabilities without engine damage and just race with that, since I am put in a room with similar power levels. I would love to race a car to its full potential but dealing with the repairs is too much of a hassle. If it was a cost (in game money) and no wait time, that would be great, kind of like the first Nitto Racing.
Second is: NPC TOURNAMENT
I know there is the campaign, but I would love to see a NPC tournament which is repeatable and has different classes so I can use different cars against NPC's when I do not have internet connection but feel like making some extra money. I am currently forced to use only a class S car and I do not have money to upgrade this car to continue on my campaign. I find myself playing this game a lot when I am not able to connect to the internet so I personally feel that a NPC tournament style option would be a fantastic addition to the game.
Third is: PRACTICE COURSE
I would love to be able and tune my car then take it on a practice course so I can learn my shift speeds before I go and race someone. I feel that a practice course is essential to learning how to shift properly and would greatly benefit those who want to learn how to properly use NOS before racing.
Fourth is: BRACKET RACING
I must admit, the ranking in the game seems pretty fair since almost everyone I race is in the same range as my own car and for this, I say great job!!
I honestly prefer the current racing system since I've always hated bracket racing in the previous games but I hate to admit that bracket racing does have its benefits and would make a great addition to the game. Racing isn't always about highest horse power or top speeds. It's also about reaction. I believe the best racers have the best reaction and run their car to the fastest potential time their car can run.
Fifth is: DRIFTING
Just kidding.
Sixth is: TEAM BANKS/PROPER CAR SELL/TRADE
-Obvious reason for team banks would be competitions. Some team member are not motivated to compete. If I were able to reward playing for reaching a certain goal, I am sure I would get more out of team members.
-Selling/trading cars is pretty essential to the game. I have cars I don't like or don't want to use but people have offered to buy them off me. I will not trade or sell my cars with the current method of -doing so but I would love a much safer method of doing so.
These are the main things that have been on my mind, I tried to keep it short as possible, and I really hope anyone who reads this passes this on so any of these ideas may be taken into consideration.

A solution which would work great is: Less engine damage, decrease repair time, and remove all auto fix solutions. I wouldn't mind that.
