Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.

However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.

On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.

In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

what's the deal with "no NOS" cars?

I know that using NOS causes more engine wear, but why is it such a big deal? Is it a turf thing? I've never been on a team, so there's probably a few things I don't understand.

For turf right? Like if you're not going for a max tune?

I personally don't care to use nos. Dead weight, to me. I have a couple no nos tunes that beat nos installed cars(I don't max tune). It's all in preference I suppose?

Nos is a horse power boost but is usually not a good choice if you are truly tuning and not maxing out the car. Nos does nothing for your power band and what is more important is a better graph and low weight mixed with high hp and torque. That's what will get you to the finish line faster

Gotcha, makes sense. I've never turfed, so I've only tuned for overall max power:weight.

I personally love adding NOS to all my RR cars..

Some of the valid issues ppl may have with NOS is that 1. it adds extra weight even when not in use. 2. it changes the characteristics of ur car's launch and shifting when its used.

For point 1, why add it in the first place? Point 2, dUh.. Thats what HP does.. and ur car will not take engine damage from the NOS if its not used...

Now my take on the whole no NOS craze.. In the words of a known frog:

    "Somebody thought of that
    And someone believed it
And look what it's done so far"

(Kermit the Frog - Rainbow Connection)

Yes it makes some sense but why would u take out a car with NOS if u know ure not going to use it? Take another car...

Now lastly, NOS is a Tool meant to make ur RR car go faster.. it does come with a price where it permanently adds weight to your car, but thats just like any of the Chasis/Turbo/SC upgrade.. But with the pricec of weight comes a shit load of HP..
