Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.
However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.
On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.
In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

500 Error Compensation and the "Time Out Glitch"

500 Error Car Restorations
I lieu of the 500 errors that plagued the game during the weekend of 11/1 to 11/3, we gave everyone 200 gems. Since then we have also been working to restoring cars lost during that time.
Since we had a definite beginning and ending time, we were able to isolate the races that would have been affected. We then had to write a program that would find those cars and correctly restore them. Additionally, we also had to find the players that bought back the cars lost during that time and find a way to refund the gems spent. After testing it for a few days we implemented it. If you lost a car for any reason during that weekend we have restored it. If you bought back a car you lost that weekend we refunded the gems spent.
Please force quit the game and relaunch at your earliest convenience to find the cars and/or gems on your account. (May take an hour after this post so if you don't see it, check again in an hour, if you still don't see it, please contact customer service and give them details on what was lost)
We truly apologize for the incident and we have taken all steps to make sure that doesn't happen again.
Timeout Exploits
As some of you know, there have been reports that players were somehow able to win races without racing. After working with several players, we were able to duplicate the exploit and were able to make sure that it no longer works.
You may see an increase it "Tie" results due to this. Tie results are what you get instead of the old Disqualified result. Due to the fact that some legit players could result in a DQ, we changed it to result in a Tie. If you get a tie result, the game acts if the race never took place. Any bets made are returned. No one gains any cash or cars. SC is not won or lost, boosts are not used and engines do not take damage. It is simply as if the race did not happen.
As with any issue that may arise, please continue to report them to us and please be sure to include as much inf as you can.
