Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.
However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.
On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.
In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

Samsung Galaxy S4 crash work-around/temporary fix

This is in reference to the Samsung Galaxy S4 phone (not sure if it works on other phones).
So like everyone else, after updating to KitKat 4.4.4 the game would freeze on the race launch screen (intro video still works) or just plain crashes (no error code pop-ups) back out to the OS.
Temporary fix: during campaign mode, the first race will be ok (no freeze/crash), before you start second race - play the driver's challenge but foul right away (you don't want to beat it as you need the driver's challenge for this fix). Then go back to the campaign race. You'll need to do this on each race until you finish the level. If you forget to run the challenge it will throw the process out of wack and you'll get the freeze/crash. You'll need to either run the campaign race (without running the daily challenge) or running the daily challenge again and then run the campaign race until you get a good race (then before the next race, do the challenge first).
This will work for the multiplayer mode as well (just remember to run the challenge) I've been able to replicate this on two S4 phones after the update (not great but usable). Let me know if it works for you guys.
