Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.

However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.

On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.

In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

I think it's time that the admins shed a little light on what they are going to do about this error 500,and how they will compensate all those players who were affected by this problem. As for myself,my team dropped from 94 to 104 because most of the team were unable to log on,and because of this we lost the turf car. Now, I would think that CIE/GLU have an interest in somewhat satisfied customers,and just by looking at the number of posts here regarding the error 500,it is clear that many players were affected. So Ryyst,how will You compensate all those players? Speak up!

    No Ones getting compensated for s**t, it was our stupidity spending money and time on this game in the first place.

    Here another mistake we made expecting them to do something when there notgonna do a freaking thing but sit on there but count their cash and do nothing about this severely broken game biggest mistake cie ever did was let glu come in the picture this game has so much expectations bc this was a different type of racing game but such a shame this game had so much potential way to go glu another game that you have broke

    The winning teams won by fighting the same conditions more successfully. The entitlement crybabies scream for their free car/gems/millions. YAWN. Don't splatter Ryyst's name with your rant though. He at least cares enough to try to keep people updated on his weekend.

    same for us. we were 93 and now we finnish 101. 50gems reward. if they dont give us a compensation its a big disrespect to all the racer and all those how spend money in this game. they make cash because player buy gems and look how they dont have respect us.

    Bingo! I've been trying to tell people to stop spending money until CIE/Glu fixes this game. But the opposite has happened. More people than ever are spending more money than ever. And CIE/Glu are laughing their asses off all the way to the bank with your money in their wallets. Maybe now people will finally get it and stop spending money until this game is fixed. But I doubt it. Like you said, people are stupid and come next turf they will be right back to spending money on gems again to support a broken game. LOL!!

    Not for nothing but being in the positon of 90-100, theres a lot that can happen that changes the game. Your not garanteed a car when there is a dog fight for points coming to the end of the wire in turfs. To say that you were at 94 doesn't mean that you couldn't have fallen below that mark. I understand being frustrated as was I, but you can't single out an admin to place blame on that probably had nothing to do with the way the game glitched. I do agree however with being compensated due to the fact that this is not the 1st, 2nd or 3rd time we've had to deal with errors, glitches, hacks etc during crutial turfs for certain rewards. The loyal long term players I feel deserve something...I keep playing and holding on to my accnt thinking one day the major issues will be dealt with. I hope I'm right....if not, theres xbox & playstation that doesn't crash and is free. Who'd a thought, free (once you buy the game) to play. Now theres a concept...Until then, PLEASE FIX THE GAME!!!!

    Of course its free, we know that, but you would get nowhere fast or have as much fun, cool upgrades, or make it into good teams w/o spending money period.
