If you've won a crate mustang gt or a ford fpv, or any other non-exotic car with the special crate body wrap, you've noticed you can't buy any body upgrades for weight savings. For example, I won a ford mustang gt from a crate and proceeded to tune it to 1645 using my existing gt car's tune. When it was finished, the power, grip, and shift speed were all the same, but the crate car was 21 pounds heavier (2,844 crate gt vs 2,823 showroom gt). This is because the game has locks on all of the body upgrades.
So while winning these cars may seem like harmless good fun, in a turf, the crate car will always run heavy compared to the same showroom car and mods. Do you still want your crate Ford FPV after learning this? If yes, why?
Does anyone else have examples of this in their garage?
