Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.

However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.

On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.

In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

I wanted to publicly post a thanks you for the efforts of actually repairing the bug's issues and glitches in the game and not only fixing them posting in game information that you are aware of it and you are fixing it that is all we have asked for since the games inception. As many of you know i created a petition on Facebook which has 7583 email signatures to submit to the Internet commerce commission to bring resolution to the problem. Well not that all the bug's are resolved but that glu/cie is communicating and responding to let us know we are being heard. That our money means something to them as well as us again thank you and I will remove the petition site and will not submit it. Please continue the forward progress thank you again

There are two major problems which must be addressed ASAP. 1) Tie cheating, among other hack vulnerabilities (see tie cheating thread). 2) The lack of points during turf when an opponent chickens out following a cash bet or pinks. Yes, I agree that point swapping is a major problem and must be curbed, but not at the expense of removing points for people chickening out after large bets. Pinking in particular carries a lot of risk and is an integral part of the game. When no points are awarded when a racer chickens out during pinks, it removes some key incentive for a player to pink during Turf. This has greatly reduced the point scoring potential of many veteran legit players. Point swappers can still point swap by fouling, so forfeiting makes no difference. If an opponent is facing a large bet or pinks and wishes to point swap, he is vulnerable to the player going through with the race and beating him anyway. This should curb a lot of the point swapping. I for one would accept the bet or pinks, beat the opponent, and get the points if he/she wishes to point swap with me. Their loss. Denying points for a high stakes forfeit is taking an important piece of the game away for veteran legit players.

Scoot, we are always listening to what players have to say. What you are likely running into is that people have been taking the feedback and running to go try and fix things so fast they dont have time to respond. What we are doing now is devoting more time to responding to people's issues so be a bit more sure we are listening.
