Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.

However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.

On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.

In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

Just an idea I had; Tournaments?

Have a tournament room that can be occupied by 8-16 players, no more than that so each tournament can be done within 5-10 minutes. Have each player pay an entry fee of 500k-1M and winner take all? Don't you think that'd be awesome?

CIE won't do it. They're busy with Turf Wars, support, and bugs. But I think you should organize one yourself! I for sure would enter. Lots of organizing, but it'll pay off. Maybe do a D, C, B, A, S, R tourney. Have 16 players to join. Each player put in 100k (1.6m) or 250k (4m) and you take 10% for organizing regardless if you participate or not!

That would be a lot of work lol would be easier if CIE did it, but if there's interest, I don't mind hosting!

I'd say go for it. Host one. Start one now, why not! But pick one class lol. I'd say create a roster of 16 active players. Have them instantly donate the $x amount of money prior to the match ups, that way money is not an issue. Randomly pick names out of a hat to get your tournament started. I know for a fact 16 active players will not be an issue. Have the randomly paired match up a total of 24 hours to complete their race. If not online, the one who was online automatically advances. If everyone co-operates, you can have this tournament over in just an hour lol. Let me know if you want some help organizing. I don't expect any kind of percentage of the winnings, I'd just like to have some other excitement rather the TW.
