Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.

However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.

On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.

In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

If all you want is practice, just race the bots, the timing is more stable and they never lobby jump

Just to add to Dino64: I think the idea is to practice with the car with out it damaging. That would be a great way to practice your timing, launch, and shifting points.

    What do you guys think?

Yup. I agree. Racing the bots is pretty good practice. No bets or Pink Slips required.

There are 3 bots that can show up, although they have several names. Some of them include GTFreek, Ichibanx, Mr. Gee, Velysaan, and Chaidrin.

    Hope that helps!

Also Perfect Shift, Atomic Engine, Zombie Princess, & MC Racer (??)

    Awesome info Brken!!!

Yes and thanks guys for helping your fellow racer out, I would say the bots are the best way to get a good gauge for your tune.

While the Bots are great to practice against, it's still painful when trying to learn and practice technique, timing, and various tune tweaks when you have a lot of upgrades. After just 5 or 6 races, your car can be in need of repair, and with the higher end cars, the wait time can be extreme! I can race my Scion FR-S R-Spec 5 times, then have to wait something like 16 hours to repair it. Watching 16 videos to speed that up can take 20 minutes or more when factoring in load times, and even longer when you wait a minute or more just to get the "There are no more videos at this time, try again later" messages. And when timing can come down to thousandths of a second, just FINDING the right timing can take a bunch of tries, let alone practicing to become consistent!
