Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.

However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.

On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.

In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

.... Can a fully maxed evo even hope to beat a fully maxed rx7? I mean wow, there's no way that they should be able to beat it IRL at least, unless I'm doing something drastically wrong with my tune, which I'm p sure I'm not. I mean damn, look at stuff IRL.

IRL there's no such thing as fully maxed. There's always someone who can make something to cram more air and fuel into the engine and burn it more effectively.

Plus this game isn't a simulator, if you Max out the 2002 Skyline GT-R thinking you'll give a exotics a run for their money you're going to have a bad day.

Of course there's stuff you can do, but eventually you'll get to the point on the evo where the four cylinder can't be tuned anymore, but the rx7 has waaaaaay more potential in its engine than the Mitsubishi does, I mean rotaries were pretty much straight up designed to be turboed, they love high revs like crazy

I dunno, I just find it annoying that a car that should be doing good isn't :(

The 4G63 was designed to be turbo'd. The Evo ran a cast-iron block for over a decade after almost all cars went to aluminum blocks for that very reason. Have you seen real-life Evo power builds? They have them making well over 1000whp.

If you built an rx7 right you could easily get it up to 1000whp, guaranteed

If they built the car specs according to internet fanboys, the game would still be in its first stage of production..
