Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.

However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.

On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.

In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

Ever since the introduction of Tournament this game has been plagued with problems, so many threads on constant crashing or stuck in Tournament. I'm starting to feel all this has something to do with it.
RR was relatively fine before but now, its like why even bother, you KNOW its gonna just crash and make you frustrated.

Any one agree?

I like the tournaments. I haven't had any issues, except for getting 'stuck' once. But a force-quit and reload fixed that. When the rooms actually fill up, it tends to be much better racing than what you find in the multiplayer lobby. Even better than the maxed lobby IMO.

The tournament feature in the game is still very new to Rivals, it was definitely a gamechanger. It brought life into the game, and started off very strong. With anything new, comes bugs/problems. In time, this mode of gameplay, will be very popular and fun!

You say they didn't do a CPU stability test, Im sure they did it a lot. I think the bigger problem lies in the market. Its not normal or expected to list recommended specs or system requirements, which would be handy in a market where apps can be downloaded to 800mhz phones and 2.5ghz phones all the same.

Well, your using a phone that the game doesn't run well on to start with. The problem is more than likely your overclocked system and/or insufficient RAM. I know you mentioned speeding up the swap file, but for performance there is no way to supplement system memory in the same manner as the physical RAM capacity. Your scenario says absolutely nothing about how the game runs on 1.5 or 2.0gjz phones in general.

Instead of trying to resurrect a relic phone to run the game, buy a new stable Android device that is capable of running the game on stock settings :)

If Rivals doesn't work to your liking Kenny, you could always move to a different game. Rivals works just fine for most of the players, whether on iOS or Android.

No I was just simply answering your problem with a suggestion. I can only suggest, I can't make you do anything. If you're game works fine on your iPhone then have fun playing the game. What I don't understand is, if your game works fine, then why make such negative responses regarding the game?

Not sure on the processor problems, but the game runs heave on the ram side. I started this game on a laptop, 1 gig processor and 4 gig ram. I never got a single problem with lagging ever, When they killed the FB app (wish it'd come back) I tried a tablet. a verizion tablet 6 inch, yes it plays, yes i could relearn how to play it. But the game laggs so badly, it's not funny. Why bother, playing or investing in a game, where you see nothing but cheat and glitches being run, without a single mention of acknowledgement from the Mods. If CIE would at least acknowledge, some of the problems, I'd be more confident of the handling of the game and maybe play and coin some. As it currently sits, it's a POS app, i've been considering trashing

From my experience, the bracket racing seems to have the least amount of scammers in it. I don't turf race, but I do like the bracket racing. Its challenging, fun and it pays fairly well when winning.

Per the forums, seems turfing has the biggest amount of scammers. General racing is pretty risky as well

    Some good points made.
I was pondering about this, what if it's not our devices but the servers that run them?

Maybe they could do some down time once a week or something to let the servers, reboot, empty the cache or whatever, kinda like the problems with Battlefield. They let their servers down for maintenance once a week and it seemed to have helped. Idk, just a thought.
