Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.

However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.

On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.

In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

It is a video game, things are different here than out there. Most cars in this game benefit from turbo, but there are a lot of supercharged cars as well. You just have to experiment to find out which runs the best on which car!!!

If I'm tuning to a lobby and don't need TONS more power I'll do supercharger. For Max I do turbo, although I haven't taken the time to see if a supercharger gives a better power:weight ratio on different cars.

James is correct, turbo only better for maxing

@JDMBIRD incorrect, many world record tunes for lobbies are done with max turbo. In terms of maxed cars, it's about 85% turbo, 15% supercharger

Is there any way to find out which cars are better maxed with the supercharger? Most of us don't have the cash to max out R+ class cars both ways.

@021 There are a few cars for R class and above that benefit from a supercharger. Two examples for you would be the recently released Camaro RE, and the McLaren F1 GTR.

I have a McLaren F1 GTR, turbo with a fastest time of 6.691 which is close to the "record" of 6.606. I don't see how a supercharger can be faster.

As above The Rumor Troll said a F1 GTR would be faster with the supercharger.

No confusion at all, I know the turbo is faster, I just don't know what Rumor Troll meant by the F1 GTR is one of the few cars that could benefit from a supercharger.

This was discussed many months back and it was determined that 2 or 3 were/are faster supercharged. I don't recall which cars though. Too be honest, Kenny would be the one that knows. I believe he was part of that discussion.

Yup supercharger is faster on a few cars. But most are faster with turbo... I haven't actually raced in a long time so I'm going to take a shot in the dark and say.... Ford GT, Zr1 and Copo?? Idk that my gut feeling I'm probably wrong.

I have ran a turbo and super charger on a 1679 Stella. End result, i went back to the turbo. I couldn't get into the 6 second bracket with the super charger.

since max tires are so cheap and you know you can hook, it comes down to two words (and one symbol): power/weight

Except for the fact that who has the cash to put both a turbo and supercharger in all their cars to see which is faster.
