Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.

However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.

On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.

In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

    Just keep yours. When cars go to the vault that just means you can't buy them in showroom anymore.

    Right. When something is vaulted, it means that it will no longer be available for purchase or in a Mystery Crate. While it is in the vault, no one can get new ones. Those with these cars, keep theirs.

    We may release these cars again in the future, but that's not guaranteed.

    Yes, they are systematically removing any decent cars you can get for cash, so it costs more to race as you are forced to buy gems

    Is there a list of cars being vaulted? Or which ones have already been vaulted?

    the 2007 corvette the 2010 mustang the 2007-2010 (i forgot) camaro and the buick which is a newer car now removed

    The 2005 STI they are going to remove is a gem car, IIRC its the only gem Subaru besides the WRX Concept. Regardless, it makes no sense that they're vaulting cars and shrinking their lineup. At least with the Corvette, Camaro, and STI there's multiple other variations of the same vehicle already in the game. But the Buick was a one-of-kind, not to mention a real-life drag strip hero and one of the GM's crowning achievements as it was the fastest American car at the time it came out.

    The gem cars they are removing are those that don't sell, whereas the cash cars are good ones.

    We have a new brand coming, with new cars. We will be releasing more Lambos and other cars from our current brands as well.

    Basically they remove all the good cars and leave you with a bad car lineup. Because most of the decent cars gost gems or silly amounts of rrc
