Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.

However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.

On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.

In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

Now some of you may have wondered why I've taken such a long break off from Racing Rivals. To tell you the truth, from time to time, I've been trying to get back into this game but it's about as hard as changing someone from being a bully to being a regular person without bringing in therapy.

First off, I can't even play multiplayer anymore. Everytime I even try joining a lobby, the game either, A crashes, or B crashes a few seconds later. So there's no way around it. I've wanted to keep supporting this game but it's impossible for me to play it now. It's like you need some kind of mobile device that is powerful enough to run GTA V *Which it will be a long time before that happens* to avoid having the game crashing on you. While I have dropped my IPod many times, Drift X is quite an advanced racing game and my IPod can run that game better than Racing Rivals. And the best part is, rarely has that game crashed. What is it exactly that is preventing you guys from fixing the freezing problem? Are you just stealing our money we've put effort into this game? Thousands of users are reporting crash issues every day. Do something please!

And it looks like this is not the only problem plaguing RR. And this just might be, the worse scenario that RR has ever faced. People are now getting banned for having too many cars. What the ****? You know, some people may think that people who have a lot of cars might be scammers but the problem here is you guys are banning people who've been playing this game since day one and have already gave the middle finger to scammers, but you're banning us for our crazy car collection? Not fair. And I've even heard people saying you guys support hacking and scamming. There's no trading system, meaning we need to risk getting scammed. I have actually helped people on how to avoid getting scammed in the past. I'm really not amused by this. This is criminal! And knowing this game has potential, it's so sad to what this game has come to. First you started banning us for doing too many pink slip racing and now you are banning us for owning a certain amount of cars? What's next? Banning us for absolutely nothing? While I myself has never been banned, I really feel this community's suffering. What's next? Banning us for not being scammers? Or hackers?

I'm not sure if I should give up with this game. We need a good explanation to all of this. Someone else should take over. Heck I wouldn't mind EA buying this game because of there amazing support with mobile gaming. And no this isn't sarcasm. One guy over at GTPlanet had his data for NFS No Limits got corrupted and complained over to technical support and they couldn't restore his data but instead they gave him around 200+ crates containing a lot of rare stuff. Including blueprints for the more high end cars. Isn't that awesome?

Yeah I know EA has done some bad business practices but now they aren't so bad.

*EDIT* Don't know how I missed this but the problem with hackers and scammers has already been explained.

Well said. How many cars are we allowed to have before getting banned?

I have no clue. I'm assuming they are trying to get rid of scammers but I think they are going too far.
