Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.
However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.
On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.
In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.
I don't really understand like what you guys do when you update the game, because quite frankly they seem to be useless. Like seriously, why isn't there a trading system yet? That's like the #1 most asked for thing, and we get "small bug fixes" for like a retarded glitch in the garage or something. This game would be so much more fun and fair if there was a trading system, for both money and cars, or anything in the game that you can acquire. Not really sure where GLU's priorities are at, but they don't seem to be helping the community at all. I think I speak for everyone when I say this is extremely important and she be added and not ignored.

We haven't put in a trade system because that issue is a lot more complex than it sounds in terms of game balance and the game economy. The problem is implementing the system so that the economy isn't damaged, can't be taken advantage of and that the huge undertaking is worth the time and effort.. in other words it will also need to make us money.
Yes, we know it's the number one feature that players want, we've tested out different variations, unfortunately we haven't come up with a system that we like and would work. That also doesn't mean we will never try again. We want to do it, we just need to implement it correctly.
