Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.

However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.

On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.

In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

More Body Kits

RR FLAMERR FLAME Users Awaiting Email Confirmation 113 Posts
You should consider adding Body Kits for cars that don't really have as much as they should. For example the Scion FRS should have more considering how many the car has in the real world. Another one is the 2015 Ford Mustang, same situation. Do you think GLU should add more Body Kits?

I think alot has to do with whether there aloud to do that to the cars or not. Alot of company's don't want the cars they let glu use to be changed however glu sees fit. I'm sure they try to get as much out of a car as they can

We should be able to take the hoods off and everything, we should be able to expose intercoolers

In real Life, I looked at adding a body kit to my corvette. It just added dead weight. Not a good idea for the street. When racing it, at very high speeds, the body kit did not do much to help keep the car flat on the ground.

Although they look cool (most of them, I have seen some pretty ugly kits by Liberty Walk), to me, its just additional weight

@Fugyea you are correct, in real life, most body kits do nothing but add dead weight to the car, at high speeds they do start to help to a small degree, but that would also be at sustained speeds for longer periods of time then short bursts that are used during normal street driving (racing). same goes with spoiler(wings) on the back of cars as well. i know there are a few manufacturers of wings and body kits that actually do wind tunnel testing and have built them to be helpful. but, those, you are going to pay big dollars for.

Not only body kits, but possibly more tires. I would really like to see some white-letter or whitewall tires.

A different front bumper would be very nice for the frs because the current one looks like a chopped 2011 mazda 3
I went outside once... it was aweful

Unfortunately we are beholden to the car manufacturers. So in order for us to offer more cosmetic modifications, each would need to be approved by the car manufacturer, per car. Most don't want their cars modded in the game or we may have to charge more because they want more.

What about the old JDM classics? People modify them to be unrecognisable and get famous... Or is it that darn strict @Ryyst
