Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.

However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.

On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.

In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

GLU wont stop the cheating...

I have a screenshot of a guy telling me he got the apk from a guy in Indonesia who works for GLU. So if thats true they wont fix it they dont care to fix it and need to be held accountable.

    We don't employ people in Indonesia, we don't make these APKs, we have something in the works to stop them from working.

    How about all the light lagging going on or dont you believe that happens? It cost me a maxd k1 this am but im sure it was my device or my connection, your guy's favorite response.

    Light lagging is caused by a core function in all phones. And that is the home key/app switcher. They hold their home key as soon as they see let's race. They wait 10-15 seconds (or more) then go back to the app. Lights work fine for them. Glu cannot do anything about that, since that is a hardware glitch, not a software glitch. Its unfortunate, but true :/

    As Koaleader171 said, light lagging is caused by something that is done on every device. It's basically taking an advantage of how devices work with the game. We have a few ways to address it in one of our upcoming updates.

    Light lagging is something that is done in real racing just like it's done on the game. You just need to zone out and not worry about anything but your RT. What someone else does can NOT affect your reaction time.

    If the game is paused, it should have to reload, simple as that. WOT blitz does the same thing, if you do that

    When people light lag , the countdown goes down faster ...so it does affect our reaction time ...you don't play this game ,do you?

    The light lagging is the worst you sit in anticipation of the lights for up to 20 seconds. I dont care who you are it throws your timing off and causes burnouts or complete miss of drop. In worst case causes a foul.

    I love a light lagger. Especially when its a pinks race. Gives me a few extra moments to collect myself and concentrate on my drop. I'd say probably 90% of the time when someone tries to lag me I hit a perfect start with a .001 rt. Its just like @eXxPLoSiOn said you need to zone out and concentrate on your start instead of getting all worked up about the fact that someone's lagging you.

    ^countdown still goes down too fast ....you cant drop launch with that

    If they wrote code into the game that would disqualify anyone who hits any other button other than the throttle launch nos and shift i would think it would end the problem. I may be wrong but it seems to me like it would help.

    i heard that light lag is counterable. if someone light lags u, and u does the same, ull end up a tie

    Light lagging does not affect me, I've won some cars against that cheaters when they are using only that glitch, when someone pinks me with a slower car, i suspect immediately that something is coming and I usually go for it, concentrate on the launch, and that's all, but even if you won if cheater uses other glitches like tie one, they always run without risk, that happened to me this morning, a murci pinked my TLX and surprise it was done by a victory team member, really sad!!
