Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.

However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.

On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.

In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

Racing Rivals Needs An Update

I believe that Racing Rivals is now complete horseshitt. Glu needs to make an update or temporarily shut down the game while they fix it. In this update I would like to see the following:
• Fix lobbies, speed and tunes
• Put a stop to cloning, cloning is beneficial for those who do it but not for those who play the game it's made to be played. Cloning screws with the market all the time.
• Give light laggers consequences. Light laggers are also a big defect in the game. I can't do a pink slip in the game without being light lagged. Put out consequences to stop it and not patches that will be bypassed.
• Stop self crushing, I'm not entirely sure how self crushing works but I know that it messes up turf wars for others that want to race and score points the legit way.

    3. "Light Lag" isn't really a thing. It's a function of the device, nothing we can do to stop it as the same effect can happen unintentionally. What we have done is make it so there is a warning before a race is commencing, we are also going to add more of a delay to allow players to rev up before the green light.
    4. One of the improvements we are making will make it more difficult for "Self crushing" to occur as much as it does

    If its fixed then why are the multiplayer and the turf lobbies not setup the same?

    I've heard this as well. If you go into a multiplayer lobby with a car, say you're in a 56 lobby. But if you use the same car and tune in a turf lobby it will be a 63 lobby. Have not experienced it myself.
