Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.

However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.

On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.

In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

Turf event announcements

It would be a big improvement if turf events are announced the way they were in the past on Monday by GLU to allow teams to prepare their cars. Since the big 6.0 update is imminent, why not go back to that fairer method than the current method?

    Events was never announced before turf war start. Has always been that way.

    When were they ever announced? You are tripping ive been playing 3 years since release on android and as @TheGangsta said above they vmhave never announced them.

    Events were announced by GLU before turf wars. There was no leaked info going through a third party website or FB page. I have been playing and turfing since October 2014 and I remember this well. Let's cut out the the BS with the third party profiteers and go back to a legal and fair system.

    Doesn't anybody else question why GLU leaks info to an unrelated website/FB group?

    Lol they never gave out. How bout we go back to HOW IT SHOULD BE. Events are given out at 8.pm Thursday night when turf starts. Nothing is leaked. Show who is real racer and who isnt

    @dwdtuning thank you for stating "how it should be". However, since GLU establishes the events on Monday, there will always be the possibility that events can be leaked to a few before the Thursday event start. Why doesn't GLU release the events as soon as the events are decided?

    It seems to me that if GLU announces turf events on Monday night, everybody gets a chance to prepare their cars and we'll have full lobbies. GLU will also benefit by selling more cars. Noobs get a chance to get in the race and veteran racers with deep garages full of tuned cars will still have the advantage they currently enjoy. Where's the down side?

    Come on GLU, let's make this change with the roll out of 6.0!

    The hole point of turf is being ready for what ever they throw at you, when ever they throw it. Not to be able to tune dozens of cars and be better prepared for the events. I still think nothing should be leaked. A developer should be fired every week they do leak.i bet it will stop.

    Trust me... I... er... we never post Turf Events until turf starts.

    As information about Turf is put in the game a week before, people may have found a way to figure out the info. Not much we can do about that.

    @[rr] ryyst kinda funny it's gets leaked to the same person every week. You act like you don't know and as the CM that's pathetic for to even look the other way. Control your monkeys. Or maybe your pockets are getting full too. Wouldn't surprise me a bit seeing how y'all run your company.

    Whats funny is I never said I don't know. We do.

    Control my monkeys. I assume you are referring to the Player Council members. I don't control anything they do. Nor do I want to. Again, I don't give them event info. I am also going to assume you are specifically referring to Exxplosion/Sesko/. He's tried getting event info from me... numerous times. I give him the same answer, no. Plus. he's not always 100% accurate, if I were giving him info, why wouldn't I give him the correct info? Get the tin foil hat off your head.

    Plus I like my job, so "having my pockets full" for leaking info would be detrimental to that.

    That's so wrong dude. Glu gets bigger payment with the gem installing parts.

    @Roush Sport same brotha. Idgaf about knowing the event. All I know is my cars and myself are fast as f. And I have full confidence in me self. I just like giving ryy ryy a hard time.
