Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.

However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.

On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.

In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

Hey Dupe, I hope you all do a good job on the take over and make this as smooth and painless as possible for us. Now once you guys get things going please try to keep james carricato and Brian Gutierrez far away from any thing to due with the game. Both exploited there connections with Glu to take advantage financially. James gets free rims from Glu then sales them as "the last set" for excessive amounts. Brian like to get as much info from Glu and sells it on his site and Facebook groups.
Thanks for your time, sincerely Joseph B.

100% agree with that . The current player council doesn't give 2 shits about the game all about making money and breaking lobby records using a in game exploit .

    welcome mate

about the bad lag and other performance issues which has made it impossible for me to play at all
caused with the last update. can't really remember exactly how long it has been all I do know is
i haven't played RR roughly 3 or so months, just anticipating this goddamn problem to be fixed yet
absolutely nothing has still been done were already in mid January. I keep going by the RR admins/
mods word and now a completely new thread/post/list of nothing but more words ive heard over again.

whether anyone cares or not im beginning to forget I ever played as hard and disappointing it is, I will
very shortly sadly rub everything and forget this shit for good. garage of 250+ cars which over the years
cost me hundreds $$, literally I was spending on average $20-50 (even more) each week/fortnight.

in my muthafucking face! pure robbery and un fairness to its maximum.

You'll soon find out there are a lot of passionate people who love the game. A lot of people have no idea who to blame for what so by default glu got the heat. That's on glu though really as people were left in the dark.

If you guys can just keep the cheaters out, those using modified apk, and keep the game functions working correctly then the game will thrive. It really won't take much

There was an exodus of players after 6.0 though I'm sure you have the numbers. I'm not privy to them but it's not hard to figure out when markets drop, and I can run much few races to store higher.

The thing that hurt glu to me was the lackadaisical attitude toward customers. @RYSST told us he fought the good fight and his hands were tied and I totally believe that.

That were fundamental, easily for seen mistakes that could have been easily prevented, that simply trying them on my a member on a phone, could have forseen.

I am glad you guys have stopped by the forums. They need a little help as you can see. We as players have made our own pages as this is lackluster to say the least. It needs revamped.

I've also looked into your company and we'll, I'll be honest though I know who some of the players on the team are, I didn't see a site to look at.

Anyway I welcome you. I hope you are the fresh air the game needs.

lol as passionate i may be about the game im not blaming Glu, admins or anyone for that matter. All i am concerned about is the lack of belief and reliability RR admins actually appear to have toward me and every one else. would be greatly appreciated if they stepped up on racer/ user care enough for us to trust and know that updates information and future game relate changes were given can simply be said and done. not said promised etc then leave a lot of question marks cos things said have not been met or dealt with. "when's shit gonna be fixed?" and if.. "when's the game gonna get back to normal?" "when the muthafvck will i be able to play again?" sall i want to know cos that's all i give a rats ass about tbh. shit go not treatin us with respectful customer care. it is how it is, show us pissed off and long time racers especially, a little goddamn love. we're people we don't to be treated like sheep. give us a trustworthy word, get on that real shit and appreciate, recognize where we're comin from YOU GREEDY SOUNDIN BITCH ASS CVNTS. haah jus playin i don't hate or ref to anyone personal. just what the fvckks the GO

gonna get this shit fixed and fill us in on REAL PROGRESS, REAL TALK, FACTS please stop with your "what we wanna hear bullshit n promises" only to get us off ya shoulders. enuff with the dirt pvssy attitude - - i cbf with rants and i hate typing yet suddenly droppin paragraphs that's how mad and furious with this crap ive become.

lets all get along and cut talk and just R A C E again and smoke cvnts with that fam kinda love :)

IMO the biggest, but i also believe honest, mistake made by Glu over recent months has been a lack of real world testing of updates.

There are many experienced players who would happily give our time for free if there was some sort of beta testing for future updates. However, I'm not a programmer. I have no idea of the technical feasibility of such an idea.

Many would also be more than happy to offer input on the direction the game could take and give opinions on where the limited resources of the development team would be most appreciated by the playing community.

On Nitto we had a test server and would pre test most everything they were putting out. On this game they have their own QA team that is supposed to look at everything before it's released. You have to remember what works for a group of 10 might not work for 5,000 people at one time. There is no real way to replicate the server load that comes from the kind of return the community gives.

Welcome to the forums. You want to make a huge splash right away? You want to revive the game and instantly gain an enormous amount of support? Switch the game back to 5.3 version and revert the lobbies back to what the were before July of 2016. Do that and you will instantly become a god on the forums and in the community. Basically correct the mistakes from Glu over the last 6-7 months.

Too late to do that. Many have already adjusted to the update. New things can be scary until you get used to them, and that stage has gone by. Time to just build on what we have to make it better.

So basically continue down the same road that's been killing the game and turning players away in droves? Doubt that's the answer.

    Couldn't agree more!

Not only would it be to late it would be silly to do. The reason the lobbies changed was because something wrong was found with the way the game functioned before. So while it may have been where the cars you had were tuned, to help create this new cheat detection this was a needed change. It will pay off in the long run and it's one that did affect a lot of people but one that will have a way more positive impact then the small negative one that caused us to retune our cars.

How can you say it will have a positive impact or that it will pay off in the long run? Pay off for whom? When the lobbies changed, glu's stocks started to nose dive. Many long time players who supported the game tremendously left and very few have returned. I understand Why Glu made the change on their end but at the time, the cheats were virtually gone and the game was running great. They had a very well built game and then the shift happened and the game has been a shell of itself since.

The change was done to complete a new "race bot" that would help stop people from running times they shouldn't be able to run. So for it to work properly it had to be fixed because as it was it wasn't working the way that it should.

As for them working on a game where there were no cheats..

When we visited them there were no cheats and they were actively trying to find ways to block cheats that weren't even out yet. The fight against cheating is one that is NEVER won, so if you can be ahead and combating what isn't there yet then you are even more so ahead and honestly to me, it spoke volumes that the developers of an online racing game with no cheats (at the time) were looking for ways to better protect the game.

I'd like to just take a quick minute to thank you guys for carrying on with racing rivals. There is alot of negative out there, and it could be looked at from 2 different ways. To me it shows the passion the players have for this game......looking forward to where Carbinated will take us!!!

I just want to pinks. Boils down to that , if it was up to me every race would be 5m turf pinks, hell take it way back. 10m + pinks. In GlU eyes thats a $500 and $1000 race respectively. I just want to pinks. All bs aside its the soul reason I play RR. I'm not a gamer, I didn't play all these other games. I don't own gaming consoles. I have RR. Please save our game.

Going backwards is not the answer. I run fine other than game mechanics sometimes messing up. In fact if they went back that be it for me.

And I see people saying that you can't play the game it lags. Buy a better phone, or download less porn.

The reality is both companies stop updating theit os after 2 years, yet you want game developers to design a game to your needs.

Technology advances. You can't play your ps4 games on a atari. 2 years is the limitation. I had a tablet that worked great before update now it sucks. I paid 70 bucks for it new so oh well. Better replace it.

Stop bitching about lag, it's non existent for me on an s6 and that's 2 years old.

And for the record I turf a lot, and get 30-50k so it's not like I log in once a week.

Hey Cyrus (and anyone else having this issue), can you be as explicit as possible here? What exactly happens to you? Is it your first race, 10th race, all races? Only PVP, in PvE as well? Any other circumstances?

I'm saw something while my wife was playing last night on her Galaxy S6 that I would characterize as a "frame drop" not lag.

Let me give you MY definitions of the two (Lag and Frame Drops)
    - Lag is when your input happens AFTER you do the action due to 1) input or video lag (you might see video lag when playing Rock Band on a big screen TV through HDMI) or 2) internet latency (my ping to the server is 300 ping, therefore my movement happens .3 seconds after i press the button.
    - Frame Drops would be any time the frame rate actually drops below the constant 30/60 that the game normally plays at.

What I saw was after her 15th or so race, her next race ran at a smooth frame rate for the first 3 seconds or so, then hitched (or dropped) multiple frames a few times as she shifted down the track.

Are you seeing either of these, or is it something else entirely? Please let me know!

@[RR] Dupe Ok, from what i see the lag for most people happens with input. So for example the camera transition when loading a car in the garage is very smooth. But when you yourself scrolls and rotates the car things begin to get ugly.

Pretty cool your wife plays the game with you. Mine does as well but she gets upset when people use lobby tuned cars against her and winds up just going back to watching Nashville.

As for the lag, it's not really a lag that people are experiencing it's more of a device failure to display the game properly. It was honestly much worse before they reverted back to the current graphics but if you wanted to experience what most people are talking about go to your gamer profile in game scroll down and activate advanced graphics.

Activating this option will give even the best of devices a run for their money and will give you the experience that a low end phone provides the racer that is sometimes confused with lag.
