Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.

However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.

On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.

In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

Can someone confirm that for ghost shifting the transmission needs to be stock?... Does this apply for all the cars which can ghost shift ? I know this should be a straight forward answer to rr gurus here...

Not so straight forward. Yes a lot are stock but depends on rating your tuning for. Some are stock, some stage 1 and others stage 2. Really depends on car, lobby your tuning for etc...

Ok. So to put this into example.. A javelin to race in a 56 lobby would have either stage 1 or stage 2 transmission.. So since I was just being kicked in the balls by one which had a rating of 55 I am guessing that it's transmission was most likely a stage 1 or stage 2. If it was stock most prob It would end up in a 1650 lobby. Is this right ?

To shift from 1-3 simply just double shift past 2nd.

Stg2 tranny doesn't necessarily mean 56 rating.. u can get a 56 rating with stock tranny. It's about the while tune when you're tuning for Libby. Not just what stg each part is.. but yes most not all gs tunes have tranny at stock. The slower shift speed let's you jump a gear easier.

Stock tranny = more ghost shift effect. Ie: Coupe 1650 stage 2 tranny might run 9.6 ghosted vs Stock tranny 9.3 ghosted. Having said this only way to get Coupe to 1656 is with a max tranny (As far as I have discovered) Therefore you ghost window is smaller.. 0.200 shift speed vs stock being 0.400 (As far as I remember). Having said this both 0.200 & 0.400 shift speeds can be ghosted, however the shift points and speed you need to do it at aswell and results (Time improve by ghosting) change.
