Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.

However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.

On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.

In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

Blocking option in TW

During turf, I'll pretty much race anybody unless I have lost a couple of races against them and their car. Not wanting to damage my engine o. A race I'm sure to lose I let the time lapse and forfeit. Some of these racers keep coming back at me and I sometimes have to forfeit 4 times before they get the message. Some only get the message if I stipulate their annoyance in race chat. Do you think it would be possible to have an option of blocking those racers out whilst in the lobby. These guys are collecting TW points in a way that to me doesn't seem fair. Thanks for considering this.

    I have the same problem and a blocking option would be very helpful. I hate having to stress my engine racing someone I already lost to

    It gets lower and lower every time they challenge usually it only take about 3 times for your points to drop down to single digit

    I am aware of the lower point scoring, but I endure engine stress and suffer loss of potential points and possible losing spot on ladder. It is annoying to have to give up points for someone's lowlyness, greed or whatever other dark motive. Lol

    Your points build back over time, and a better player will only challenge when your points are up. This being said , a blocking option is a very bad idea, if you can't beat someone it means your car isn't properly tuned. If you could block ppl, then you would probably block most good players, this would go against what turf wars is about IMHO. It's like you say, all you have to do is forfeit if you don't want to race them, but some of us are trying to stay in top 25, or in my case, top 5!in turf
