Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.
However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.
On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.
In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

- If the cars aren't cheap and easy to come by, people will simply pinks less.
- Let's put ourselves in a situation where we couldn't buy mills, people would bet much less often cause cash is costly at a very unreasonable price. GLU already knew and Carbonated needs to know that there in game RRC doesn't sell unless its to a new player. Most just go to the black market where we can get mills for a hundredth of the price (Take that literally cause it's that true).
I'll explain more if I really need to but you tell me how Carbonated can efficiently stop it as a whole? They can't. Like 30 of them can do something about thousands of us selling stuff? They cant. Sure, what we are doing is probably beyond illegal but they just brush it off and continue with life. It's a part of the game you can't stop unless you shut the game down.
Though I don't fully agree with green staged I am seeing the wider picture of the implications should the black market gets eradicated though its next to impossible for this happen.
Pinks would be just for the boldest.
RRC would be unaffordable hence ^.
Turf racing would not be the same anymore.
The above are what make the game as it is however I do agree that most will be competing on the same level. I saw the videos he mentioned and I have to agree with what he said. If it was not for the black market most players and team won't strive in the game.
Its within GLUs or Carbonated grasp to get everything under control.
Since they know about what is going on they can simply sell rrc at a much cheaper price. At the end of the day their income is from gems. No one buys rrc from the game. Very very much expensive.
