Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.
However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.
On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.
In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.
Racing Rivals - iOS 7 Support
As time goes on and devices get new updates, new technology becomes available and older devices become antiquated. With the release of Racing Rivals 6.4, iOS version 7 will no longer be supported. Apple stopped supporting iOS version 7 in 2014. This will allow us to focus support towards newer devices and help clean up old code as well as focus on making the game more efficient. We’re announcing this early to get feedback on how this will affect the community.
If you currently playing on iOS 7, let us know. If this action is going to drastically affect the community, we need to know so that we can try to figure out how to support older systems.

> Please look into why the LG k20 plus lags drastically with rivals when the older LG k7 could play it with no lag and flawless its odd since the k20 has better ram and processing as well as space than the k7 and the k20 can run games like marvel champions and asphalt 8 as well as csr2 but it seems that rivals is just really laggy on it even when its the only game on the phone and nothing else is using up ram
When 6.0 released, everything fell apart. Most noticably the amazing performance you could get even if you had a old low end device.
I'm assuming we will see changes since they are basically ditching that version of iOS.
