Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.

However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.

On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.

In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

Teams 26-50

I think teams 26-50 should get the turf car without the wrap.or the turf car before without the wrap.. With something unique about it showing it's from a turf reward. Or something more then just 50 gems.. 26-125 is such a wide range of people.. When people that are at 120 are not near the amount of points people 26-50 have... Idk lemme know what you think..

    I completely agree.. I've even mentioned it before. I've already spent 120 gems this TW.. I'm almost out and said I wouldn't buy anymore but that's not the point.. Yes, these teams deserve more.

    I think it's a bad idea. Top 25 works harder for the car and more gems so they should leave it how it is.

    I would say it needs a special wrap that is the same every week for those cars just so it's still a competition to make top 25 and not just top 50 and eventually most of these cars will come out unwrapped so it's not really special.

    I agree with this post, maybe just more gems or something but there is a huge difference between the amount of work that goes into #40something vs. #100ish. It's too big a spread and the points difference between teams is way more similar from say #125-#100 than #60-#30.

    From what I understand, this is already in the works. Lutz has mentioned in a few posts that they know that 99% of they're players cannot compete on the level of the top 25. They also need to protect the exclusivity of the top 25 or risk losing their most valued players. So the situation they are facing is this. The above average player, the mid core players, are losing interest because they can't compete because of various reasons, be it time constraints, fiscal constraints etc. but, with out those players, then the top 25 who I would assume also generate the most Income for Cie on a per player basis, would t have the same enjoyment. So they need to find a way to engage and reward the mid core players while still making the hard core players feel extremely special. How they should do that? I don't know, as a top 50 team I'd love a car also, but I can't see it being the same vehicle as the turf cars minus the wrap. I have faith that season three of turf wars will bring those changes. That's 8 weeks out though. Since they mentioned they wanted to have new cars for each local in the first half off the season, maybe they can reward top fifty with the cars from the previous season. That would do. And then after that season put them in the showroom so that anyone willing to buy one with gems can. I don't know, just thinking while I type.

    I totally agree!!! but its obvious that top25 teams and cie no agree with this idea))) so I propose this: only first 5 best racers from each 26-50 teams will get turf car without wrap. that's more fair. everybody happy)))

    Completely true. And yeah the top 5 players of the 26-50 team wouldn't be that fair because it's a team competition. I understand that the top 5 players should be rewarded but without the other 15 people on the team. Those top 5 players might have not been able to even get to rank 26-50.

    But its kinda unfair when I got 80+k last turf and majority of teammates made 5-10k, we finished in top50 and didnt get turf car. so 5 top players is better than nothing
