Should we need character strengthening system?

Character strengthening system was the most annoyong thing in the 'DH: Battlemode'. It doesnt feel neccessary to me. I suggest this game should be more like Hearthstone-ish. Give special abilities to each characters and make synergy as team. This can be more interesting team build for game in my opinion.
