Why does Shan Yu always get to go first in arena matches?

I've noticed that when Shan Yu is on a battle team, that team gets a three or four player head start. That's a huge advantage to the Shan Yu equipped team, and also hugely unfair to opponents. Pretty much guarantees the other team a win. More balance here, please.

    Shan Yu is a Kingdom speed leader, so if his teammates are in that category they get the speed boost on top of how geared up they are.

    Yes, a team wide speed boost is rather nuts in a turn based game. You combine that with characters who have skills that can manipulate turn meter and slow the oppostion as well, you have a very toxic recipe for overpowered and unfair combos.
