Not Gaining Fans

So, I was at 125m fans, which is the max at the moment, if I recall. Then I lost a bunch because Savannah spread rumors I was kicking puppies or something, so then I dropped down to 119m. But even though I have room to gain fans now, I still just get the "ok" when the news reports my great new movie (that I got 4 or 5 stars on), rather than giving me fans, like it should be doing.

    It's obviously still thinking you have the max fans.

    Yes, I know, but I want to know if there's a way to fix it or if I just have to wait for the next update.

    Most likely wait for them to do a bug fix update or reinstalling the game
