I think there should be easier ways to get stars. On apple devices you just have to watch 30-second videos but on andriod you have to complete goals like getting to level 5 on a game that you don't even want to download. I think that on android you should have to watch videos instead of getting like 20 new apps.

If you really want to you can send a ticket about the unfairness and see if they have any options for you LOL It's kinda stretching customer care but they might be able to tell you other means of getting stars.
