How to send gifts?

Hi everybody 
So, as you know, after the last update, we're able to send gifts to our non-friend dates. I'm trying to do it, but I can't 
Charlene gave me a mission about sending gifts but whenever I open the contact list, the gift button appears for a second but then it gets lost. Is this also happening to you , or am i the only one who's having trouble about this?
