I think it does that to make it feel more real, as if this were actually happening to you. You get more money as you do the jobs, you level up really fast in the beginning so you should have a fair amount of money after getting a few levels

Sending Kred doesn't affect you energy, cash, or diamonds. If someone throws a party then you should see a number on the chat button (just like you would normally when people chat) but you will have to go into the chat to RSVP it to join
