Converting Blue Cash to XP

I play a lot of Home Run Derby and I have a lot of blue cash.  I'm trying to figure out the best way to convert blue cash to XP.
I experimented with 1,000,000 in blue cash.
The three ways to convert would be:
1.  Lose in Derby:  5,000 for 100 xp + 25 gloves
2.  Buy 2nd round picks:  4,000 for player to trade in
3.  Buy Late round pics:  1,000 for player to trade in.
We can figure out the losing to derby numbers so I took 500k and bought 125 2nd round picks and 500 late round picks.

The outcome:
2nd round picks:  8,535 XP
Late round picks:  16,312 xp

So lets convert these numbers for each 100k blue cash spent:
1.  Lose in Derby:  2,000XP + 500 gloves
2.  2nd round picks:  1,707 XP
3.  Late round picks:  3,262 XP
I was surprised to see buying late round picks netted me the most XP by far (and is a lot faster than taking the time to lose in the derby).
Any math guys out there able to see if these numbers are out of wack?

@midgetmullet just be careful spending too much cash. It will be needed for the upgrades once you hit gold & above.

The numbers will vary over time, but your results will probably be similar each time.  Even though the late rounders gain less experience per pick, you more than make up for this by getting 4 picks for the same amount of cash as 1 2nd rounder.

In ‘18 the best rate of return was the 4K slugger picks.  Those had a better bxp yield than either the 1k or 4K regular draft picks.
