Bonus player leveling discount

I know that this has been asked before so I apologize for the redundancy.  Is every player in the weekend boxes eligible for a 50% leveling discount ( with the 30% leveling discount and FP)?  I’m considering buying FP to level up Teddy Ballgame.

You can check.....weekend players eligible for discount have a box drawn around them.  Put the player in your active lineup and look for this:
