Judge hits his homer and then Boones decides to pull him and Yanks almost blow the game and more importantly ruins my chance of Judge getting two homers in the first game so I don't have to worry about him getting it tomorrow!
Yea this was an easy pass for me. Besides the fact that I'm diamond and they would be a pain to level anyway. The qualifiers to expect either 4 extra base hits or 2 homers in a 2 game span is so incredibly unlikely.
I was gonna say the same thing @dustyhunks They couldn't have expected the massive offensive output we saw, and even then it fell short.
They could meet the customers halfway and at least bump those players up a bit. Seems reasonable for them to do that.
I like the concept, and considering it was, as far as I know, their first foray into this kind of transaction, it seems like a few tweaks could make it a pretty reasonable gamble for users who wouldn't be at a complete loss if the player purchased could still add some value if he falls short of the goal. The deal, as it was presented this time, was bad, particularly for high level players. Make more reasonable achievement thresholds and raise the basement a bit, it'd be a better bet than boxes (but obviously not as good as buying the player outright).
If nothing else, I appreciate their effort to try something new. I'll only see it as a failure if they don't tweak it and try again.
I think if the floor would have been raised, the price would have followed suit. Keep in mind 350 players have been $50 this past week. They aren't going to just give away usable players for $5.
