Devices overheating and game lagging

Hi all,

Have been playing the game for about a month with no issues until yesterday when I couldn’t finish a game without my iphone or iPad getting red hot and the Game starting to lag. Have gone though all the battery-saving suggestions — put on night mode, turn off apps refresh in background, turn off location services etc — and no luck yet.

Anyone have any knowledge on what’s at play here and what I can do to fix?

What kind of phone/ipad
1. device is old
2. Not enough memory
3. Needs software update

I have an iPad from like 3-4 years ago and the game makes it run hot

May be that device is old (iPhone 7 and iPad is two years old) but this started happening yesterday which was weird. Plenty of memory and have the latest updates so shrug, I guess.

Update: This improved last night and I was able to see play a string of games without issue. No idea which of the many things I tried “worked” but it’s good to be back.

Damn I thought it was just me - iPhone X and noticed this has happened more than a few times. I stopped playing for an hour and hard closed app to let it cool off.
