In my experience, i think glu internally increases the pulling odds when u buy one of those boxes, like to reward paying customers in a subtle way. i mean, last month i bought one for $2.99 and got legend kenny lofton. Two weeks later another one and got 420 nelson cruz. Just today i bought one and got legend Joe Carter. Obviously i have bought more than just those 3 boxes, but in general the return of investment (as compared to buying boxes for gold) has been exponentially bigger when buying these.
These and CvC boxes I swear have better unpublished odds. I’ve stopped buying boxes with gold and anymore only open CvC boxes or boxes that come in some kind of bundle (vip pop up, specials packages, 6.99 pop up, field pass, FR tiers). I get players like crazy from these sources. I’d blame it on luck but since it’s become the norm I gotta just call conspiracy on it!
I've been buying some of those small specials last couple weeks and my luck has outright horrid on those. Helped me hit pity timer on three occasions and all times worst prime available. And all other boxes have been xp.
My luck spending gold on the other hand has been better. Just pulled my prime 420 2B that I needed this weekend on my 5th box.
My luck on cvc boxes has always felt pretty normal. I got lucky last weekend, not so much this weekend.
I think random but I’d swear I get better pulls after the specials come out. I bought the five box special Saturday AM and pulled Rice out of the fifth one.
