    To do what?
A TSB players association would be a way to unify the players participating in this game. It would be to gather the ideas and suggestions of players to unite them in one voice. To be able to present them to the developers of this game that we all enjoy in a manner that would exemplify the unity of its players. To create a strong and unwavering voice throughout the TSB community.

Lol, just a thought. Kind of like the MLB or NFL players association.

This is a video game. Nothing more to it.
Yes and no. Of course it's just a game. Hell, that's my mantra to new club members. However, it's like so many games today. You have to keep spending and spending.

I see where he's coming from. A bigger voice about certain aspects of the game would be nice.  I wonder how many times individual's suggestions are actually passed on to the development team or if they're ever read.

Things like woh which often seems scripted almost.

I draw all lines at communism tho!!👍

But that’s what VIP council was supposed to be. It turns out it’s not. But that was its intention

Sounds to me like they just rounded up several of the most respected and influential players in the community and then wined and dined them. Haven't seen any changes yet that would be based on council member's feedback that was reported.

I thought so as well. A players association would be for all players though. I’m not sure the VIP council hears the voice of everyone but more so of the VIP. I’m talking about something not created by Glu as well. Created by the players for the players.

As stated many times, that "VIP" meeting was PR stunt and as @JEDDDOGGY said they winned and dinned a few players and that was it. Nothing more then a gimmick. Total crap shoot to draw in new  blood and show them that the casual joe can have a place in this game, take it however you want but its the truth. Nothing has been done to make the game better since this gimmick. @DFBB and all the other people who attended had a good time im sure, got some nice perks out of it but nothing else  has changed. This so called "VIP" meeting is joke and for those that dont know, its almost as bad last year. What they dont tell you is how many people from last year were on this so called VIP council were known "LOADERs" and they just looked the other way, why? we all know. Money. So this year is the same crap just new faces on it.

Aren't these forums a place where everyone's opinions and perspectives are valued? It seems to me as if this forum is pretty much what you said.

Thus the reasoning for a non-related players association. One that can present the approach of “no fix no play”.  How many players are there of this game? How many in the VIP council...8.

I wouldn’t exactly say valued. Everyone is, however, allowed to voice their opinion, concern, or complaint here on the forum. I can’t tell you how many times I voiced a concern on the forum and had a fix for it within minutes.

Its a game bud, not a dam union or association. Take it for whats is worth, nothing more. They dont give a crap about anything but there bottom line. You wont ever have a voice or  have someone listen to your concerns. They  tried that... their PR stunt. They gave away some perks and gave a few players a tour of their studio. Dont over think it.

It is Glu owned and ran. Are there changes made from these forum posts? Asking in earnest? If there are then no need for a players association.

I'm glad I don't need to come here to make me feel better about me. LOL

I understand you completely. What I’m saying is that if there was an association of players and they said “ok for one day! We won’t play” how much would that affect the Glu bottom line? Do you think they would listen then? This post is simply a question to elicit a response and show everyone just how big their voice is my friend. Nothing more.

I appreciate your efforts and enjoy your passion but I also think you might be thinking too much about it.

This is an interesting idea, for sure. I don't know if it would be anything more than just a Facebook group of complaints, but if you can get something together that would help push glu sports into taking better responsibility for their mistakes and actually try to fix things, I'm all about it 😬

Now we're getting some understanding and fun. They don't need to be mutually exclusive. 😁

I didn't mean "I don't get it" as in I disagree, I meant it as in "I don't get it, can you explain?" 😂 There are some tsb Facebook groups with like 20k+ people, that may be a good place to look.

    We are?

What I mean is that people seem to see that this isn't about griping about not getting gifts, etc.

What I'm pretty sure Bowhunter means is that, maybe just maybe, a collective (hate that word! Reeks of socialism, but it's apt) maybe could get things noticed by Glu that individuals can't.

We are all part of their business. They own it, but we use it.

I think most longtime players (and I don't mean someone playing since June) would agree that the game has become a constant cash grab. There have always been new versions in the boxes. However, those same boxes actually recycled players. They recycled early on this season, but that's virtually vanished.

Potw guys would be be recycled IF that player had earned it in real life. Unless they recycled one during my 3 week lock out, I can't remember any recycled potws.

It's brand new bonus guys for every single event now. It costs far more to stay competitive.

I doubt anyone here just wants things given. Hell, part of the joy for me was seeing if one of the guys I'd saved would get me a few points.

That's specific, but I think that's become a big problem compared to previous years.

    Just my take.

I honestly think it’s just Glu seeing how far they can push the consumer. I definitely agree that it’s ridiculous that we see 70+ bonus players in any given week...but the thing is, we’re buying them. We will keep buying them. They will continue to push the threshold. I think the Sunday Sabo situation was a prime example of that.

You and I are in total agreement man
  • DaveMustangDaveMustang Registered Users, Member 428 Posts
If you don't buy them, there's no reason to play. Where's the fun?  So, yeah... they'll keep doubling down.

There was like one guy in the entire world that bought Sabo and it was some dude on Facebook that was missing a 3B, and hey, he probably had a good 3B at one point in time that was changed to an OF after spending resources to level him. Tough to give that guy too much crap.

They've really got to resolve this stuff.  This is something that should happen ONE time, they learn from it, and it never happens again.  It should never happen as much as it does.

Getting a player is easy, getting the resources to level him can take weeks or longer.  You can't let a guy spend weeks worth of resources to level a player and then pull the rug out from under him.

Assigning a player an appropriate position and sticking to it should not be this difficult. Anyone who can use Google could pull it off pretty easily.

As a first year played and just regular guy I love this game and I'm sure it was really awesome in previous years AND... I look forward to next year I don't however see I will be able to afford playing if it keeps going the way that ( in my short amount of time) it has been going. I really do hope they correct the greed button. If only a little bit. JMO
