Farming For Gold: Now Getting Ads That Are 1 Minute Long and Longer

Like everyone here, I spend too much time farming for gold.  Part of the price you pay to enjoy the game.

However, today is different. All morning I've been getting a FedEx ad that runs either 1 minute or 1:30.  Only get 4 gold for this.

In an hour's time, I've managed to just get about 120 gold because of this ad.

Please tell me this isn't SOP for GLU to pull some crap like this as the year goes on. This is insanity.

I'm trying to play and win the right way, and it seems like you get punished in certain areas.  WoH HoF frickery and now this.

I'm done whining. Thank you for listening.

    Way off on my prediction. In the last hour, I just got 64 gold because of that stupid ad. Normally average about 350-500 gold an hour on normal days. This is brutal.

    Fed Ex ad finally quit running. Twice it was 1:37. Only got 50 gold in hour two.

    they only let me mine from about 2:30pm-7:30pm Arizona time each day. Is that normal or do they restrict some people?

    @iratepirate There is a video cap of roughly 100 videos per day that resets at 5pm PST. But you can easily get around it by resetting your ad id on your phone.

    The best ads for me usually pop up around 4, 5am eastern. I get  a bunch of Sprint ads for 5sec

    I haven't seen the 1:30 Fed Ex ad since this morning. I am starting to get the Sprint ads. Hope those are around for double gold weekend.

    Sprint has been my baby this morning as well. Only "problem" with it is you can't break away. Goes by so fast and I don't want to waste a second, or wait too long and it goes away. I know that's not possible but...

    The main control the development team, responsible for game quality, has with ads is taking off ones that affect the game's performance.  If it does something like significantly slowdown the game mechanically, or if it crashes, we'll request that they're taken off.  Things as far as length and the ones that appear for you... we don't actually have much control of.

    As far as the anime content goes, targeted advertising is very real...
