    In order for these chant threads to work, we really need to get the mods to buy off on enforcement. it's a simple rule: don't post in a chant thread unless you are going to participate in the chant. and if you break the rule, you get a 24-hour ban.

     Listen, I understand how the internet works. whenever people are doing something really fun, some jerk wants to find a way to ruin the fun by causing a disruption. case in point: the people who post stuff in a clearly marked "chant thread" other than the chant itself (along with allowed emoticons, gifs, or jpegs).

    my tukey test chant on the actuarial outpost went over 15 pages without anyone even TRYING to break the chant rules and post something other than "tukey test! (insert funny emoticons here....)". and given this board's demographic makeup, there's no reason why "COOLDOWN" couldn't have gone over 20 pages, and "I LOVE BOXES" even longer than that.

    Sad how we can't ever do anything fun around here. This place ruins everything.

    What I'm most annoyed about is a certain someone is constantly blaming Mark Watson for his worst posts. C'mon, man. I knew Mark back in my days at State. Mark was a bartender at Cleats and Spikes. Sold me my first shot of Rumpleminz. One night he tipped me off that Dykstra was planning a late night check in at the Stauffer house. Gave me time to get the keg out. Mark is a heck of a guy, and certainly not the vulgar pig someone is trying to make him out to be.

     This has to stop.
