My team has been reset?

Looks like after the recent update today, my team has been reset. It was near 90000 strength, all gold level players, aside from three. 4 legends, several prime, and a few special editions. The “more clash matches” as of December 10th seems to be the only difference.
I’ve spent a few hundred dollars on this app when I rarely do, so I don’t want to call it a loss or a waste. I really enjoy this game.
How do I get my team restored? It took some time & money to get there & it seems unreasonable to assume I need to redo it after a loss due to an update.
Any help or suggestions?
