That worked in 2017 game, but I think you are going to have to tough it out this year unless you get lucky with GLU. Once account per device seems to be sticking

My guy is silver 8 and batting under .250!

Check your stats after games and look for your legend. Also, you can go to achievements, then select batting and look for his career stats which should be solely as of today. Only way he wouldn't be playing is if you have 3 OF's better than him

Two days isn't that long in my experience. I would say within a week at the current time frame to start the 18' version.

It appears there isn't a reward according to glu. Maybe just a new user thing for downloading the game at this point in time.
