  • Well i got Toro to add to my Mariners collection so Im happy
  •
Fwiw the way it was explained to me last year is that's not really intended as much for the top 1-2% of players but more so for the casual player to collect cards they may want.
  •
yea im almost positive primes were never guaranteed before legends dropped.

yea its more for people spending chunks of gold, not really for people spending under the 12k

Its tough if you don't want to go diamond. I only say that because the fastest/most efficient way is using donations. Evo groups/Evo hunting usually require a chunk of gloves. Although if you still level players and play games for glove, you should be able to hook on somewhere

This was how I felt in 18 and most of 19 but since the start of 20 I dont think I ever felt this way again. I suppose last year there were a couple weeks when they had lots of pennants in there and it was fun but then that novelty wore off. Bottom line is I liked it hard where you felt good about beating it and the…

yea this has more or less been a thing since 2019. I think when legends first dropped in 2019 they were at the curve. I can remember Mike Scioscia(grrr) and Rizzuto. I think shortly after they were like 10 points behind the curve and it was never really the same since them. So yeah the line was drawn a while ago and…

That’s essentially what did me in. I didn’t think fun was worth essentially paying a twice a week subscription. I did it far more then I wanted to in 20 and just couldn’t keep doing it anymore
  • I think if you don’t know the answers to the questions you posed in your first paragraph then it’s time to move on. It’s a game at the end of the day. I eventually reached that point where I was just playing because it was in my routine and I wasn’t actually having fun. A game needs to be fun or else it’s not really a game
  •
I am working on an all-time Mariner lineup which as you can imagine is a little bit tougher then a team like the Dodgers haha. But I reach and allow myself former Mariners so I can make it a little easier on myself like Ketel Martes and Nelson Cruz types. But yeah I've really enjoyed it.
  •
Yea after playing the Show this year for the first time I dont see myself going back. Things definitely feel within reach and there's market strategy based on how players perform in real life which I really dig. Also if there's a player you really want he has a price you can work towards instead of "needing to open an…
  • I honestly kinda enjoy it. Especially since it saves your progress. For someone that doesnt open the app a ton, its something cool and lowkey to do without worrying about time
  •
The Woh player has rarely been someone used for team building the last 2+ years. He's merely a tool to generate XP and points and then you dump him in 2 days. The skills on them aren't really relevant.
  •
I can’t speak to this year because I’ve barely played but in my experience Is hitting the pity timer has almost always meant the lowest player possible. When I get resets before that I have had much better luck and my hopes are a lot higher
  •
yeah i was surprised until i checked the odds and then looked in the store and saw 4 boxes and got more confused but realized it was a sign to just log off.
  • The engagement theory didn't work great for me today. Logged on for the first time since Sunday evening and had 24 boxes worth of gifts, got bxp on 22 of them and pxp on the other two. Wasnt sure what the odds were but i guess it makes sense given the picture above.
  •
I get that we probably wont ever have that again but man that was when the game was the most fun imo. It's really too bad.

yea this year i decided to take a hard stance and stay gold which I've always thought would be nice in theory. But then i quickly remembered why I haven't been doing that. It's just not fun for me so as a result I just basically dont play other then the occasional gift or woh cycle.
  •
At the end of the day this was the clarity I needed to have too. Fun became too expensive and trying to play a different way just wasn't for me. I wish I would have listened to myself a little earlier on it but I am glad I was able to get there.
  •
IIRC pxp has always been scarce when first introduced. I think the first primes last year were Kershaw and Stanton and very few could touch them and two years I remember it taking me weeks to level that stupid Monster May Josh Bell. You are correct about the lxp last year tho as it was in WOH, bigger chunks in FR and…
  •
yeah definitely. But if you are building a good team at a lower tier, then being competitive isn't your goal. Its just not reasonable to be competitive unless you are diamond and even then it still requires a commitment.
  •
I've always been an Xbox guy over Playstation so its my first year on the game and im enjoying it quite a bit.
  •
in way I prefer it that way. Too often when I should be interacting with others or doing things outside the house, i was always half glued to my phone or being forced to find a charger because my battery is dying. The playing in moderation thing as oppose to always having it on my mind has been very nice for me.
  • It really depends how you play the game. I've kind of learned this year you can definitely build a quality team at lower tiers without spending. Basically you can just grind videos. However for me, that's a lot less fun so not wanting to do the diamond thing means not much time on the app for me. Diamond is the most fun…
  •
Yea this is definitely a yearly thing. Although when legends dropped last year, they did make lxp more available then I thought they would.
  •
I think @DFBB and @jalapenocubbies already addressed this but as another guy who was a member of last years council, you are a little misguided in what you think we wanted or what power we had. We mainly tried to bring up concerns that were shared by other members of the community, club members and etc. Some changes…
