2B is the only position where I don't have a D10 legend. I'm still rocking a Luis Arraez who was a WOH Royale reward way back in the day. He's played over 38K games! I need a new 2B so bad!
Yes, after filing out the instruction sheet, on the WoH Monday tab - just populate the batter rank (i.e. L1, R3, etc.) in columns R and AY and it will spit out the "Bat" rating based upon the pitcher and situation. There is a lot of personal prefer…
They changed it from a guy with a stuff rating of 195 to a guy with 177? That's a massive downgrade assuming that @DFBB is correct in that pitcher skills don't matter.
Thanks gents! MIT?! I was a drunken frat boy at a party school - go Ducks! Attached is an updated version that includes the walk-off skill. @ShoveItUpYoenis2 - if you PM me your lineup with skills and hit ratings, I'd be happy to fill it out for …
@DFBB - agreed. I don't have any D10 ATG bats, so I would certainly never attempt to level an ATP pitcher. Even if I had the resources, I'd give a hard pass to this Wilhelm bum - his skills are atrocious, as vs RHP will only be active about 25% of…
Lol, ditto, the nerdier the better. I've gotten a few PMs from guys who have put way more thought into their models than I have, but this is at least a starting point for most people. The model does account for when a skill is inactive at the begi…
I only have one stud pitcher, a prime signature Scherzer (500 overall). He a has 3910-6 record, a 0.05 ERA and has never walked a single batter. He's stupid good, so as far as I can tell, a 560 overall can't possible be much better. That said, I'…
I'm sure that a 560 rated pitcher would put up a microscopic ERA, but wouldn't a LHP be preferable to a RHP since the vast majority of people horde left handed hitters? Do you think there would be an noticeable difference in their performance over …
I know I shouldn't think too hard about this, but come on! Brett Butler is hitting an HR every 5.1 ABs?! He had 8,180 ABs in his career and only hit 54 HRs, with never more than 9 in one season. His career OBP of .377 was higher than his career S…
I love baseball, statistics, math and have some disposable income, so I think I'm Glu's ideal target market. At first my obsession with this game was solely focused on team building and seeing my team strength increase. After I joined the forums a…
Some quick math for you D6 cyclers - assuming you have Fieldpass and can play about 5 bonus games per minute, in 20 minutes you'll play 100 games, which equates to 750 gold. If you use that gold to buy LXP mega boxes at an expected value of 2,530 L…
@2003cobra - all team hitting upgrades are at 84/100 and KC pennants are at 80/100. Up until this week Brett has been lights out on Monday HOF. Today he's only 6 for 9 against Gibson, versus last week when he was 12 for 12. Maybe I need to take t…
I took four cracks at 6.10 this weekend with a D10 George Brett, skills at 20/20 and an 80 gold boost - went 0 for 4, scoring the following runs: 4, 7, 6, 0. I cycle HOF easily every Monday and couldn't sniff a win this weekend. Plus the rewards s…
@Horse42 - to get even nerdier on you - the "expected" value of a mega LXP box is only 2,530 LXP not 4,000 LXP (taking amounts * odds), so buying 5 of them you would only expect about 12,560 LXP. Go crush some season mode!
@Horse42 - I may be on an island on this, but I view it just the opposite way. If you are guaranteed to win your season mode finals, and pay the 150 gold each time (2,400 gold total including playoffs),you will generate an incremental 10K LXP, 12.5…
I am both disappointed and not surprised. I imagine this means that everyone, including VIPs start next year at the bottom of the All-Star pyramid and have to re-buy their way to the top? This makes business sense, but I'm not happy about it.
Related question - I just reached All-Star level 9, which means that I'm about $300 shy of making VIP. If I do not reach VIP by the time TSB20 is released, will I start TSB20 at All-Star level 9? or will I lose everything? If the latter, I see a s…
I lucked out yesterday by not playing until about 1PM and was able to cycle capped Lemon to D10. He wasn't an ideal reward, but he'll rake in all modes except for WOH. He ties Brett for the highest hit and overall rating on my team. I was using D…
@bigvivec - the biting certainly wasn't intentional, but the only way to make it stop is to give me a club invite ;) I probably won't play much over the next week, but on Monday the 30th I'll be hitting WoH hard, so maybe we can join forces then.…
The "Sandlot Bullies" club in the screenshot above is my solo club. Before the re-bracketing I had about 6 billion points and was running neck and neck with a Cooperstown club. Afterwards I found myself in a distant 4th. It felt like I was gettin…
I used a D10 Foster with skills at 16/16 on 5.8 yesterday and he raked - but what I found interesting was that "Great Matchup" would flash at the beginning of the AB even though hot hitter started off, which left me with a 586 hit rating vs a 464 s…
I like the fact that they've given us a 460 with great stats, but they neutered this guy with his skills. IMO, the blowout and late inning combo makes him suck in all formats, unless he's good enough to be your closer in WoH.
Just completed my first cycle without issue. I only have two observations, 1) on 4.10 we are now down 4 runs instead of 2, 2) the cost of gold restarts on 6.10 may have went up a tick from 450 to 480 (with discounts). Happy cycling everyone!
