Using my franchise player

I used a franchise coin (by accident) on Buster Posey to add him to my team. I’ve tried to add him to my lineup but it doesn’t work. I’m just trying to use him so I can use that spot for another franchise player since My legend is also a C. I’ve tried making my legend inactive but that doesn’t work either. Any advice?

    When you set your legend to inactive, what player is playing, your legend still? Try setting your legend to DH and see if that works for you. Make sure you draft a 1 Star or 2 star catcher. It should put Posey in and then you can use up his games. Hope this helps.

    I'm not sure why ML can't be placed into his position like every other player. The arbitrary placeholder player is absurd, and I think franchise players should take precedence over anyone. If you buy a franchise player, they should start those 5 games np questions asked and no Jerry rigging needed.
